Xiaomi Redmi 6A vs Zenfone Lite L1 || Know which phone is better in the price of 6000 rupees?

Xiaomi has always maintained its popularity in the entry level market. The Redmi 5A, launched exclusively last year, outpaced everyone in terms of popularity and proved to be the first device to sell 10 million units in just 9 months. After the Redmi 4A and Redmi 5A, the company recently launched their upgraded Varietan 6A where you have been given some new features without any increase in price.

Redmi 6A vs Zenfone Lite L1: Design and Build

The back-panel of the Redmi 6A looks a bit old and boring, but it is not new to entry-level smartphones. In the phone, you get enough bezel around the display and the speaker grille at the back is quite a surprise. In addition to the Type A port at the bottom, you have also been given an audio jack as above. Volume buttons and power buttons are provided on the right.

On the other hand, the back-panel made of Zenfone L1 polycarbonate also provides a metallic finish with a fairly simple yet attractive look. The phone has a bezel around the display but it does not matter in this price. The speaker grille, volume button and power button are given on the right side. The 3.5mm audio jack is provided at the top and the Type-A port at the bottom.

Looking at the design, the Zenfone L1 appears to be better than the Redmi 6A, mainly due to the downward speaker grille and improved design.

Redmi 6A vs Zenfone L1: display

Both smartphones have a 5.45-inch HD + IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. There is not much difference between the two displays but in Redmi 6A you have the facility to change the color temperature through the display settings which proves to be a good feature.

In Redmi's device, you get slightly less tilt towards blue with a more bright display, which makes it a bit better. Apart from this, both displays are largely the same.

Redmi 6A vs Zenfone Lite L1: Performance

The most important thing for you in this price is performance. The Redmi 6A has a 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset built on a 12nm process, which makes it completely different from the previous Redmi 5A. The phone has an option of 2GB RAM and 16GB / 32GB storage. With the help of dedicated SD slot, you can increase the storage up to 256GB but dual 4G is not supported in the phone.

In the Zenfone Lite L1, you get Snapdragon 430 chipset with octa-core CPU with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage options. In the phone, you are also given a dedicated card slot for SD cards up to 256GB. Even here, you do not get support of Dual 4G, just like Redmi 6A, in Zenfone L1, you can use the same 4G network at a time.

According to our experience, the Zenofne Lite L1 seems capable of performing slightly better. Although both phones are entry-level smartphones, you cannot expect high-end performance from them, but the Zenfone Lite L1 looks a bit better in daily use.

Redmi 6A vs Zenfone Lite L1: Camera

If you talk about camera performance, both phones have 13MP + 5MP rear and front camera sensors respectively, but there is a difference in aperture. The camera performance of both the phones is quite similar and can only be said to be satisfactory but at this price you can not expect even better camera performance.

Redmi 6A vs Zenfone Lite L1: Software

In Redmi 6A you get Android Oreo 8.1 based MIUI 9.6 software but along with a lot of pre-installed applications, it creates a lot of problems by offering ads from time to time. By the way, MIUI is one of my favorite custom skin which also has quite attractive features. Xiaomi has always been known to give MIUI updates to Apami devices, which many people also like.

Zenfone Lite L1 also has Android Orio based ZenUI 5.0 custom skin. Although here too, you have been given a lot of pre-installed applications, but they do not bother by offering any kind of ads, apart from this you can also uninstall these applications. ZenUI 5.0 proves to be much simpler and better.

Overall, looking at the device for now, ZenUI may prove to be a better choice.

Redmi 6A vs Zenfone Lite L1: Battery and Connectivity

Redmi 6A has a normal 5W charger with 3000mAh battery. At this price we cannot expect much and given the capacity of the phone, 3000mAh battery is able to give you one day battery backup. In Zenfone Lite L1, you also get to see the same battery and same battery backup, so not much can be said about the battery.

Both phones also perform similarly in terms of connectivity options.

Redmi 6A vs Zenfone Lite L1: Conclusion

If all things are kept in mind, then in both phones you get to see some different and attractive features. But if we compare them to each other, then Zenfone Lite L1 seems to be ahead of Redmi 6A here, especially performance and software.

Why buy Zenfone Lite L1?
